Say what?!?

So yesterday and today have been really... trying. To say the least. But anyhow, my mom was pretty stressed out about some things earlier today and my 9 year old sister puts her hand on mom's shoulder and says, very matter of factly, "it's okay, mom. God is just testing your faith". Which may be true, but it sounded SO funny coming from her. It was cute though. :)

Nice. Real nice...

Ya know, someone actually complimented me on my driving today. They left a little slip of paper on my windshield that said 'parking fine'...

Count It ALL Joy

"My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience." James 1:2-3

Gnomeo & Juliet

Ok, so I just finished watching this movie. And it was terrible. Sorry, but there's not many other words for it. Obviously that's just a personal opinion, seeing as all my siblings loved it, but it was really, really lame. The title was clever and it had good music, I'll give it that much, but the rest was just bleh... Gnomeo was a 'blue gnome' and Juliet was a 'red gnome', and all the blues hated the reds so they couldn't be together cuz of this huge feud going on between families. You know, classic Romeo & Juliet story. Now some of the characters were kinda cute...
The famous couple themselves. Yeah, they were adorable. His looks though kinda annoyed me.. brown hair, black eyebrows, and a gray beard. Does anyone else find that slightly weird?!? She on the other hand.. was feisty, which is always cool. :P I don't really have anything else to say about her. Oh yeah, she had a sweet hat. I am jealous of that.
Their disguises were so ingenious.. Not.
These two little old people were like the leaders of each color. They were sweet.

I don't even know who this little guy is. I just thought it was a cute picture. Kind of..
So yeah, I guess that's all I have to say about it.. To you who have seen it and loved it like my siblings did, I'm happy and sorry for you all at the same time... lol

Smile! :D

You´re better then the best
I´m lucky just to linger in your light
Cooler then the flip side of my pillow that´s right
Completely unaware
Nothing can compare to where you send me
Lets me know that it´s ok
Yeah it´s ok
And the moments when my good times start to fade

You make me smile like the sun
Fall outta bed
Sing like a bird
Dizzy in my head
Spin like a record
Crazy on a Sunday night

You make me dance like a fool
Forget how to breathe
Shine like gold
Buzz like a bee
Just the thought of you can drive me wild
Oh, you make me smile

Even when you´re gone
Somehow you come along
Just like a flower poking through the sidewalk crack and just like that
You steal away the rain and just like that

You make me smile like the sun
Fall outta bed
Sing like a bird
Dizzy in my head
Spin like a record
Crazy on a Sunday night

You make me dance like a fool
Forget how to breathe
Shine like gold
buzz like a bee
Just the thought of you can drive me wild
Oh, you make me smile

Don´t know how I lived without you
'Cuz every time that I get around you
I see the best of me inside your eyes
You make me smile
You make me dance like a fool
Forget how to breathe
Shine like gold
Buzz like a bee
Just the thought of you can drive me wild

You make me smile like the sun
Fall outta bed
Sing like bird
Dizzy in my head
Spin like a record
Crazy on a Sunday night

You make me dance like a fool
Forget how to breathe
Shine like gold
Buzz like a bee
Just the thought of you can drive me wild
Oh, you make me smile
Oh, you make me smile
Oh, you make me smile

L-O-V-E

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres...
Love Never Fails

We come to love not by finding a perfect person.. but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly

Spontaneous, random, spur of the moment.. call it what you will.

So I was jogging earlier.. and I suddenly felt like taking pictures. Not unusual for me to have a spontaneous random thought like that, but yeah.. so I went and took some pictures!! And um, yep, dragged my sisters into it. Not that they minded! :) I don't really consider myself a photographer, but it's definitely something I enjoy and hope to get better at. Oh, and fyi.. picnic and I are pretty much bffs..
I guess my bro was feeling left out.. He walked into my room, picked up the flower, threw it on the floor and posed. This is the result! I think it actually turned out pretty good... :)

Rudy took the ones of me..:)

Moment Of The Week

The other day was a really windy one, so all my little siblings went out to fly their kites... I guess it was a little too windy for some of them... Jon was crying because he thought he was about to blow away. We were all laughing, but he was seriously freaked out at the thought.. lol

Epic.. fail.

Day 30 - A motto or philosophy of yours

Well, well, well.. this brings us to the end of this 30 day challenge. And it has been a challenge at times. It was fun though. Thanks to all of you who took the time to read my random, sometimes ridiculous, ramblings and my views and opinions. Hopefully it didn't bore you too much. :) Alright, now for this last one... I don't really have a motto that I claim as mine.. But I do have a lot of Bible verses and quotes that I think are pretty good, so here's a few of them...
  • "No matter what a man's past may have been.. his future is spotless"
  • "For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future" -Jeremiah 29:11
  • "Wherever you are, be all there, live to the hilt of every situation you believe to be the will of God" -Jim Elliot
  • "In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths" -Proverbs 3:6

"It's not how we fall that defines us as Christians; it's how we get back up"

Day 29- Hopes, dreams and plans you have for the next 365 days

Well I guess one of the first things on my list would be to grow closer to God. That's not just for the next year though, it's kind of a lifetime learning process. :) And then after that... I'd like to finish up high school and graduate, possibly start taking some online college courses (still debating that one), learn to play the guitar or violin, and there are other things I'm really wanting to do, but God hasn't given me a green light on those yet, and until he does, it doesn't really matter what I want. Ya never know what the future holds! I have a feeling this is going to be a very good year though...

Happy Valentines Day!!

Day 28 - A scar and it's story

Yeah, I sorta already told this in another post, but I really don't have that many scars so here goes again... A friend brought his motorcycle over, I got on it and accidentally set my leg on the muffler. Talk about ouch. The end. :)

A few random pics from today...

For those of you invited to my private blog, I'll be putting more pix there.. I don't really do that many on here just cuz it's public and all. :)
Me being me..
Girls group pic.. A little fyi for ya.. It's extremely difficult to get that many girls all looking at the same time!! It was crazy! And it didn't help the matter that we had like 27 different cameras aimed at us.. haha
Some of the guys... They were supposed to be 'thinking' or something.. idk.

Day 27 - A physical feature

Eyes are usually the first thing I notice, and remember, about a person. (I can tell you pretty much everyone I know's eye color) You can instantly tell a lot about a person by just looking into their eyes... If they're happy, sad, upset, bitter... It's pretty cool actually..One of the things I love doing is just watching people. Observing them. Figuring them out. You can tell so much about a person by just, well... observing. And yeah, looking at their eyes of course... heehee

Day 26 - A childhood memory

Um.... I was 11. I got contacts, and was SO glad to not have to wear glasses anymore!!!! I looked like a dork with them... lol Now that I'm older though I wear them quite a bit.. Funny how your perspective changes! Ok, so there's my memory... heehee

Secretariat

So I just finished this movie. I didn't really even want to watch it, but my family was so I went ahead and watched it too... And wow, surprisingly.. I loved it! I've never liked racing movies much before, but this one was a rare exception. In the trailers for it they make it look all dark and depressing and, well, drama like. But it wasn't at all... It had a great story line, it was a true story, which was a plus, all the actors in it were amazing... and the horse?? He was so cute!!!! Or whatever word you wanna use to describe a horse... This guy below sorta made the movie.. Mainly because of his crazy outfits... all of his hats matched his coat and tie.. Something my brother thought was the coolest thing!! (don't ask..) And the main lady in the movie was equally awesome. She did an incredible job!!
And then there was Seth. I really do love that kid..
He totally added to the movie as the quiet, determined, and totally cute, assistant (or whatever he was!)
And, last but not least, the little jockey.. He was funny just because he reminded us all of a friend of ours.. lol
So, in conclusion.. If you haven't seen this yet, you should. :) It was great.

To whom it may concern...

I most certainly can palm a basketball. Big accomplishment that it is... haha
